"Leadership jobs on Capitol Hill are about solving problems and creating opportunities for your members. I love doing that, and with over two decades of policy knowledge and
procedural know-how, I can help clients achieve their goals in a rapidly changing political landscape.” - Scott Raab
Scott Raab launched Raab Government Strategies after a 30 year career on Capitol Hill, where he earned the trust and respect of countless colleagues both sides of the aisle.
Raab most recently served as Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) Deputy Chief of Staff and Policy Director from 2019 to 2025.
In that role, he was the lead Senate Republican staffer in bipartisan, bicameral negotiations between House and Senate Leadership during Congress’ most consequential debates- including annual government funding legislation, the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, and the CHIPS Act. Raab was also the lead Senate Republican negotiator on significant authorization bills including the CARES Act and multiple defense supplemental requests.
From 2010 to 2019, Raab served as Leader McConnell’s principal staff charged with advancing Senate Republican priorities in health care, tech, telecommunications, and commerce. In this role Raab gained enormous experience in the complex budget reconciliation process, requiring him to develop and run successful strategies to advance Republican priorities and thwart the process’s abuse.
